Nature is at the heart of Sussex Bay. Working across 100 miles of coastline, rivers and estuaries, we bring together communities, universities, charities, businesses and public bodies to help protect and restore the natural environment.

Oyster restoration
Sussex Bay is proud to support native oyster restoration across the region, bringing together partners to help restore lost marine habitats, improve water quality and increase biodiversity. Working with Harbour Oysters and Littlehampton Harbour Board, the project is helping lay the foundations for larger-scale oyster recovery across Sussex Bay.
Universities
Sussex Bay works with the University of Brighton, the University of Chichester and the University of Sussex to connect research, education and innovation with practical action for nature recovery. Together, we're helping build the evidence, skills and partnerships needed to support thriving coastal communities and a healthier Sussex Bay.

Sussex Bay champions and supports the many organisations leading nature recovery across our region, helping connect projects, partners and communities to achieve greater impact.
