We are all Sussex Bay

• Attend or host a community event
• Share ideas for seascape recovery
• Add your event to the Sussex Bay map

From Spring 2026, as we celebrate our second year, community groups across the region have asked for more ways to take part in the work of Sussex Bay and to connect with others who care about our nature. In response to the interest from communities, we are expanding the opportunities to get involved. This includes a mixture of free and low cost across community events, workshops, citizen science, creative activities and conversations about the future of our seascape.

We are grateful to our partners for their help in delivering these events and creating opportunities for people to connect with the coast and with each other.

A pinnacle of our anniversary activities is our sponsorship of the Brighton Festival event “Sounds of the Ocean” at The Old Market in Hove. This immersive performance brings together music, imagery and storytelling inspired by life beneath the waves, creating a powerful connection with the ocean and the importance of protecting it. We would love to see you there.

Celebrate by taking part.

Sussex Bay is growing through the energy and ideas of the people who care about our coast. We are creating a shared map where community groups, residents, businesses, visitors and anyone interested can discover what is happening across the area. Take a look at the activities already taking place by exploring the map, or add your own event, project or idea so others can get involved too. This is something we are building together with the community, so we warmly welcome your ideas, feedback and suggestions as it develops. By sharing what you are doing and connecting with others, you are helping build a stronger, more collaborative Sussex Bay.
